Bill Wegerle
He was the husband of Vicki Wegerle. He found her body the day she was murdered, said to have seen Dennis Rader driving down the road in their car. He was questioned and faced with hostile and skeptical police and public. The suspicion stayed with him for over 18 years. There was nobody ever convicted of her murder until Dennis Rader was put on trial.
"the contractor"
In 1987, there was four murders that were thought to have been linked to BTK, but after further investigation they discovered it was not Dennis Rader who committed these murders.
Dennis rader
Dennis Rader lived near all the murders, he was very involved in his church and in the boy scouts. He worked for ADT and then was a Park City compliance officer shortly after that. He was found to have been very rude and demeaning to his coworkers and he wrote citations for no reason. He was caught when sending in evidence to the police through a floppy disk which was traced back to the computer at his church and his name was found on it. The police then confirmed it was him when taking a DNA swab from his daughter and matching it to the semen found at several of the crime scenes.
